Learn from a professional photographer & moviemaker while hiking/camping in the Alps!

You are a beginner or simply want to improve your photography skills? You want to experience a wonderful night with a bonfire, sipping on a local drink?
You would like to discover splendid spots in the Alps around Geneva? Or you simply want some nice pictures of yourself in an incredible setting?
This is for you!

I organise frequent photo outings in spectacular places in the French or Swiss Alps, during the week and the week-ends. Be it for the day, night camping, or during a via ferrata...

I can take up to 8 persons, or a more intimate group/solo course.
For people who might be interested, we can organise a longer course over the course of a few weeks (cheaper price/lesson).

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
Transportation, tent "housing" (if applicable), dinner + breakfast with local products (if applicable), and quality time of photography advice amongst beautiful locations in the Alps. I will focus either on the basics (focus, light, aperture, shutter speed) or on more advanced techniques depending on your levels (hyperfocal, proper framing, HDR, panoramas professional editing etc.).

(I provide complementary editing courses during the week).
You will also have the opportunity to stop and buy traditional cheese and dairy products on the way back.
It might include a proper hike, based on group fitness skills (good shoes and motivation required). But this won't be a military training, don't worry!

PROGRAMME:
Picking up (hour to be discussed) in Geneva or around to try to get the sun rise, or in the afternoon to get the sunset. Hiking spot to be determined depending on the wishes and weather conditions for a maximum 500m elevation.

Please bring the following:
- Camera and any professional gear (I could lend a professional camera for 50€).
- Water bottle and snacks for yourself (we could always stop and have a drink at one of the refuges).
- Good shoes and physical condition (but it won't be a race, don't worry).
- Some warm layers for up there.
- Passport/CDL/ID to cross the border, or not.
- Mattress + sleeping bag if camping (I can also rent them to you).

Please note that you are accountable for your own safety and participants will sign a waiver before embarking on the journey.

Beginning price/person for a photo hike session: 300€ if 1 person, 180€ if 2, 150€ if 3, 120€ if 4 or more.
Price/person for the camping sessions: 450€ if 1 person, 350€ if 2, 250€ if 3, 200€ if 4 or more.

BIO:
I am a French & British professional journalist, photographer and moviemaker (work with the RTS TV), 2018 & 2019 PhotoSuisse award recipient, with publications based on work in Iraq, Iceland and Greenland and former member of the British team of Ski-Mountaineering.
